Led a team of self + 3 others. Implemented fundamental project management and reporting tools. Reviewed all aspects of I.T. operations. Redesigned the system architecture to ensure scalability. Reviewed the existing database schema. Found that the SQL server code was predominantly monolithic and I developed strategies to peel off some functionality into multi-tier, quasi-object-oriented modules.
Implemented I.T. standards, including functional and technical documentation, source control, migration and coding standards.
Given the financial aspect of the system, I paid special attention to security issues and made recommendations for the security framework.
I developed the disaster recovery (DR) plan and the framework for board involvement in a DR committee and the planning of DR drills.
Worked in a pre-sales capacity with the managing director and marketing director to prepare and deliver presentations to prospective wholesale customers.
